Artist Statement
"Burn Down The Colony" is inspired by my work with Spotify Sound Up, looking at different ways to record our stories on our own terms in our own ways. Basically claiming sovereignty over sound waves. "Burn Down The Colony" is a working title to a collection of episodes in our soon-to-be-released podcast, that essentially reaffirms, that these institutions and systems will never be for us nor will they be key to our survival and liberation.
